A program of tax cuts funded by sending cuts? No.
A program of deregulation? No.
Anything to hint to a retrenchment of the state? Hell No.
The first things announced were 4 news laws in yet another expansion of government. MORE LAW, MORE GOVERNMENT, MORE CENTRAL PLANNING.
This speech confirmed that there are 2 major political groupings in Austraia. Labor and anti-Labor. Big government and slightly less but still big government.
Is anyone speaking for freedom, for reward for effort, for self reliance? Nope. We have a bipartisan agreement on orderly decline to Peronism. Agreement on a large overbearing state where the population is dependent.
If you are young, with ability, with capital, why stay on this rotting ship? If productivity and economic decline is apparent, watch for the capital and talent flight.

No one with capital will put a cent behind this. Who the hell would trust Australia when there will likely be a policy flip flop either after the current leader is rolled or after the next election. An extraction project (ie gas) takes years and hundreds of millions of dollars. Who the hell would trust the Commonwealth, State and Local goverment to invest for years before even a cent of reveue is generated?
Trust takes a long time to earn. Distrust comes easily.
In economic terms, we have Albanese as Whitlam and Dutton as Fraser.

In Chalmers utopia each and every small business in Australia would (& soon will) have their very own dedicated government worker whos job is to tax, spy, fine, and dob on them and them only. Your own personal tax commissioner! Until they are all gone. Then the government can be the big brother it wants to be.
