The sad fact is that a Millei would never be elected in Australia.

Even in Argentina, it took many decades of deteriorating living standards, double to triple-digit inflation, repeated debt defaults and ever more corrupt political class before the population voted for a real change.

Australians are still way too well off to consider supporting a candidate or a party, which proposes less government and more liberty, because that also implies more personal responsibility. See the Libertarian party result at the last federal election.

We will instead continue to believe that flipping overpriced houses to each other is the same as a healthy economic activity, and if that's not enough, well then, we can always dig another hole and sell it to the Chinese.
