I suspect that deep down they think they are helping. And that makes it even worse. The NSW Government, through its interestingly named “Department of Customer Service” provides a “Business Concierge service”. Probably, likely, there are similar activities in other states and territories.
It would be preferable if government got out of our lives. Trying to tell businesses how to run their business by people who never have run a business is an exercise in stupidity.
