60 years ago today, or more specifically on 27 October 1964, Ronald Reagan delivered “The Speech”, a speech more commonly know as A Time for Choosing.

This was Reagans political coming out speech and was is an articulation of Reagan’s conservative ideals. Ideals which lead to the defeat of the Soviet Union in the cold war.

Much of what Reagan said 60 years ago has currency today.
