I always enjoy receiving that periodic email from the RBA with the latest speech, report, or data set. Nothing better to remind me what man made economic quagmire we are in.
And so it came to pass, late last month, the latest RBA Chart Pack arrived. And this little chart caught my attention:
Yes. Yes. I know this is the same data as in the ABS’s nation accounts. But this is a picture and Spartacus is a visual learner. So the depth of the economic mess this nation finds itself hit me in the face like a stupid comment from Treasurer Chalmers. Wet and frequent.
For anyone to suggest that Australia is not in a deep recession is just ridiculous.
Imports massively down. Government spending massively up. This is not an economy. This is a Greens Utopia.
And the negative dwelling investments.
Stuffed. We are so stuffed.
Suggestions for where in the world to where Team Spartacus can migrate well received. Please make your case. On current trajectory, North Korea is looking appealing.
I think most people like me and Spart already knew this. It is only people like Chalmers and his ilk that are trying to pull the wool over our eyes by saying every thing is rosy when it is demonstratably not. A Spart says, "Stuffed. We are so stuffed."
