Trent Zimmerman is the Federal Member for North Sydney, a seat he has held since 2015 when he replaced Joe Hockey at a by-election. By absolute sheer co-incidence, Zimmerman was a staffer to the same Hockey and immediately prior to his pre-selection for this by-election, Zimmerman was Vice-President of the Liberal Party State Branch (NSW).
