Make Australia Poor Again

It would be easy to blame the current Labor government but it has in fact been a 25 year, bi-partisan project of Commonwealth Governments to Make Australia Poor Again.

Yes. That includes the masterful efforts of the Godfather of Australian Middle Class Welfare, Saint John Howard. The Prime Minister that brought us childcare rebates, private health fund subsidies and many other middle class bribes.

That same Saint John who legislated the renewable energy target, slapped a ban on nuclear energy generation and passed the Commonwealth environmental protection laws that are the foundation for the current Nature Positive matters.

Let’s just face the facts. Australia is an a deep economic hole and the response from our governments is to dig deeper. If it was not for the global commodity boom, Australia would already be the banana republic Keating warned of way back when.
