Lies, damned lies, and Commonwealth Budgets

I am about to show you a few examples about the BS that is in the latest Commonwealth Budget. Please don’t assume that this crap is a Labor thing. No. This is standard practice of GOVERNMENT no matter their colour.

If this kind of financial information was produced by an ASX listed company, people would be in jail and/or banned from managing a company. But of course our parliamentarians are a special class. Exempt from the laws and standards that apply to mere mortals. And if you want to understand why they behave as they do, all of them, and why the design the policies they do, it’s because they don’t feel the pain and risks that normal people feel.

As Thomas Sowell noted:

It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong.
