Albo Pad
Fascinating news today of Prime Minister Albanese’s latest purchase of a place, possibly a weekender, in the Central Coast of NSW. Purchased for the princely sum of $4.3 million.
I don’t begrudge Albo buying such a place but it does kind of smell bad. Maybe I do begrudge him. Not just because of the timing but because his entire career has been in the “service” of the public. First as a politician’s staffer and now as a politician.
Every dollar earned was taken by force from someone else.
And don’t forget also the huge defined benefit pension he will receive and the perquisites of being a former Prime Minister. All at the expense of the tax payer. It’s all very Pelosi isn’t it.
I am minded to a quote from the famous economist Dierdre McCloskey:
The trouble with social engineering: if the social engineers were so smart, they would be rich. It is so, and it is an indisputable economic principle.
Yeah well. Australia’s Social Engineer in Chief is rich. Smart? Well others can draw that conclusion.
The Prime Albatross is totally "Tone Deaf" or doesn't care if he gets re-elected.
1. He did it by negative gearing and now he says eff everyone else Im going to get rid of negative gearing. 2. Isnt he a climate change activists. WTF is he doing buying a property near the coast. Does he not say that the sea level ifs going to rise? Or doers Al Gore live next door. The biggest problem with this is the hypocrisy.
