A polished turd

Dear readers. Apologies for the silence as I have been travelling.

I have however been reading, especially on the budget and remained stunned by the garbage this Commonwealth government keeps putting out - garbage policy and garbage spin.

This line takes the cake for me:

“This government likes to return bracket creep when we can afford to do so – and there is more room in the medium term to do that,” Dr Chalmers said.

This from the Treasurer who deliberately reinitroduced the 37% tax bracket for the sole purpose of raking in more bracket creep revenue.

According to this government, wage theft through administrative error requires criminal prossecution. But wage theft through bracket creep is apparently necessary. Necessary to finance the state leviathan. An intergenerational necessity.
